Working with Drafts
You don't have to complete a filing in one sitting. At any point during the filing wizard, click Save Draft to save your progress. You can return to it later, pick up where you left off, and submit when you're ready.
Viewing Your Drafts
Navigate to My Drafts from the sidebar. Each draft card shows:
- Filing Number — the draft's reference number
- Filing Type — "New Case" or "Existing Case"
- Court and Case Type
- Number of Parties added so far
- Number of Documents uploaded so far
- Last Updated — when you last worked on this draft

Resuming a Draft
Click Resume on any draft to re-open the filing wizard. You will return to where you left off, with all previously entered information intact — court selection, parties, documents, and fee waiver preferences.
Deleting a Draft
If you no longer need a draft, click Delete. You will be asked to confirm:
"Are you sure you want to delete this draft? This action cannot be undone."
Once deleted, the draft and any uploaded documents associated with it are permanently removed.
When Drafts Are Created Automatically
If you encounter an error during the filing wizard (for example, a network interruption), the system will attempt to auto-save your current progress as a draft and notify you with a message.
Tip: Drafts are a great way to prepare filings in advance — for example, if you're waiting on a signed affidavit or need to confirm party information before submitting.
